Chronos is a privacy-first application. This means:

All data you create in Chronos (events, categories, preferences) is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by your operating system. This data remains under your complete control.
iCloud Sync
On Apple devices (iOS and macOS), Chronos uses Apple's iCloud service to sync your calendar data across all your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account. This sync feature:
- Uses Apple's CloudKit: Your data is synced securely using Apple's CloudKit framework and stored in your private iCloud container.
- Is end-to-end encrypted: Data synced through iCloud is protected by Apple's security measures and encryption.
- Stays within your iCloud account: We do not have access to your synced data. It is stored in your personal iCloud account, which only you control.
iCloud sync is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms of Service.
Data Backup
In addition to iCloud sync, your Chronos data may be included in your device's iCloud backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled. This is managed by Apple according to their privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud backups.
Third-Party Services
Chronos does not integrate with any third-party services that would collect or process your personal data.
App Store
The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain information as described in their privacy policy. We do not have access to any personal information collected by Apple.
In-App Purchases
If you make a purchase within Chronos, the transaction is processed by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.
Children's Privacy
Chronos does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The app is suitable for all ages and does not require any personal information to use.
