Summary: By using Chronos, you agree to use the app responsibly. We provide the app "as is" and are not liable for any issues arising from its use. Your data is stored on your device and synced via iCloud on Apple devices.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Chronos mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Chronos is a calendar application available on iOS and macOS that allows users to view and manage their annual calendar, create events, and organize them using color-coded categories. The App stores all data locally on your device and syncs across your Apple devices using iCloud.
3. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
- Remove any proprietary notices from the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you create within the App, including events, categories, and any other data ("User Content"). User Content is stored locally on your device and, on Apple devices, synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud service. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data.
iCloud Sync
On Apple devices (iOS and macOS), Chronos uses Apple's iCloud service to sync your data across devices signed into the same iCloud account. By using Chronos on Apple devices:
- You acknowledge that your data will be stored in your personal iCloud account
- Your use of iCloud is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms of Service
- We are not responsible for any data loss or issues arising from iCloud service disruptions
5. In-App Purchases
The App may offer in-app purchases for additional features or content. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
Refunds
All in-app purchases are final. Refund requests must be made through Apple according to their refund policy.
Subscription Terms
If you purchase a subscription:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will meet your requirements
- The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the App will be corrected
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the App
- Any conduct or content of any third party
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data
- Loss of data stored on your device
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your data.
9. Updates and Changes
We may update the App from time to time. You are responsible for ensuring you have the latest version of the App. We may also modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. You may also terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
